Casablanca
Third of March 07
After another sketchy night trying to find our reserved Hotel, we ended up taking the Taxi drivers
choice of Hotel in a very crude area of Casablanca. Everything seemed like a set up for a robbery,
the place we ate at next to the Hotel, the taxi driver, the hookers talking with the receptionist, etc.
But imagination can go out of control while reality is steady, by that i mean, nothing bad happened.
2 Star Hotel
At least was able to watch some Soccer.
This was probably the funniest thing about this Hotel. The receptionist insisted us on having their
Card. We didn't realize at first but after taking a second look on it, you can obviously see that the
Third star is handwritten. We couldn't believe it, too funny to be true, since that Hotel did not deserve
a third star.
So we checked out and checked our stuff into our last Hotel, which was a four Star,
and actually the best Hotel we stayed in Morocco. This was the sight.
Took a cab to the famous Mosque, and ate at a local spot near it.
Was a great lunch for only 14 Dirhams (1,80$)
We always had to stop since i needed to film (digital), super 8, take 35 mm Pictures and
Digital Shots. So Josh just layed down and was enjoying the weather and the Mosque.
filming craze
We found the main spot in Casablanca, this is also the spot that the Cliche Team skates in "Bon Appetit"
Perfect Ledge
Switch bs 5-0s
This was some Moroccan Filmer.
Anyhow we filmed for like 5 hours till it got dark and got mad footage. It was CRAZY, we were just skating this
ledge and over 150 people just surrounded us and watched us skate and were amazed how people ride those
wooden boards with wheels. So we ended up with a lot of good tricks filmed, and this was at the end of the
session when i slipped out on water and got all dirty.
Back at the Hotel to shower
This kid entertained us with a styrophone piece which looked like a phone,
so we bought some socks from him.
Josh and I still went out the last night to check the party scene in Casablanca.
And this says "That was it from Casablanca"
So we were able to catch a next day flight back home to Barcelona. After
a few difficulties like the Taxi driver taking us to the wrong Terminal like
45 minutes before the airplane would leave land, we made it home safe.
Thanks to God!
