Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders, the traditional owners of the land, have been closely intertwined with nature for tens of thousands of years. But Australia’s Indigenous Peoples hold little to no water entitlements in the Murray-Darling Basin. We meet water warrior Bruce Shillingsworth, a Murrawarri and Budjiti man, who calls the problem a “second wave of genocide,” pointing to poor water allocation and corporate greed.
