While dissecting from the outside, the People's Republic of China seems to be this vast land where the majority of its inhabitants work in factories around its eastern coast. No ones disputes that, but rarely do we get much of an insight of whats happening within the geographical core of the kingdom. The dead center of the country could possibly be the melting pot of three diverse cultures living together within one law and rule. Han Chinese, Tibetans and Uyghurs make up this land where the mountains are colorful and the main ingredient in the food seems to be chilly. Since taking long distance train rides is somewhat of a hobby for myself, I made it my duty to propose a little weeklong getaway from Shanghai to the homies involving a thirty-plus hour ride west.
